Why it matters
The technical crawl still checks robots.txt and common sitemap locations—but when you paste a full sitemap or sitemap index URL, Bloom prefers it when seeding URLs. Fewer important pages get missed.
URL rules
Use a full https URL on the same host or subdomain as the website you added. Invalid or off-domain URLs are rejected with an error banner after save.
How to add it
- Open the website overview.
- Find Crawl discovery → XML sitemap (or follow the banner that prompts you to add a sitemap).
- Paste the sitemap URL, save, and wait for the next crawl to pick it up.
Tips
Large sites often use a sitemap index that points to section sitemaps—paste the index URL.
